Potential Eagle Project or Service Hours

Scope of work:  Complete the construction, landscaping, and fencing of 1500 square foot activity and play area for Head Start center.

Project completion:  August 2014

Goals:

·         Prepare area for installation of pre-fabricated play structure, rubber mulch, bike loop, and fencing.

·         Install pre-fabricated play structure

o    Includes digging and construction of concrete footers to anchor play structure.

·         Install sensory play area

o    Either sand box or water box

·         Cover area in shredded rubber mulch

·         Install bike loop around play area for children to ride bicycles and tricycles

·         Install secure fencing around entire play area

o    Fencing type TBD

·         Install landscape around play area, including planting of trees and shrubs

·         Other activities as determined by Scout and site staff
