Trailblazer District Dinner and Awards

Greetings Scouters! On behalf of the Trailblazer District, Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America, it is my honor to invite you to attend the 2014 Trailblazer District Awards Dinner to be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Receptions in Erlanger, KY. We respect your time, so the Dinner will replace the scheduled Roundtable meeting for the same date.

We, the Trailblazer District, will recognize the accomplishments and service of the people who make Scouting happen in Northern Kentucky, our adult volunteers. Community leaders, Scouters, Unit Leaders, Scouts, family members and guests are all invited to attend this marquee event.

Among the awards presented that night, the Trailblazer District will present the following five awards based on nominations submitted by registered Scouters in our District. These awards are not progressive (e.g. so your nominee need not have received the other four awards to receive the District Award of Merit).

· Unit Volunteer of the Year – EVERY unit gets to recognize one volunteer
· Service to Youth
· Order of the Heart – 10 are given each year
· Meritorious Service – 7 are given each year
· District Award of Merit – The highest award the District can bestow
